As soon as I found out that I would be heading to Bermuda, I immediately started planning outfits in my head. I knew that I wanted a ton of easy tropical dresses and cover-ups to match my the easy going vibes of the island. One idea in particular I became obsessed with was to wear a men's short sleeve button down on top of a bikini. I love repurposing menswear for my everyday wardrobe, so why shouldn't that apply to the beach? After several trips to the mall I finally happened upon this palm tree'd number at Forever 21, and I think the combo turned out super cute!

One of my go-to styling tricks a good matching set. My summers are beyond hectic, and if I am running late (which is often...only 5 mins away I swear!), I need to know that I have a few guaranteed to match outfits in my back pocket. I mean let's be honest, they are basically Garanimals for grown ups, but whatever consider me obsessed. Minimal effort and yet you look and feel completely put together slash chic. I love that this set in particular almost looks like a romper, which is perfect for me because as y'all know I have the longest torso this side of the Mason-Dixon. And style steal alert - this cami & short combo only costs $35 total at Kohl's. Need I say more?

MUDD cross back cami top & MUDD printed shorts (*set for only $35) | APT. 9 laser cut cross body bag | APT. 9 charm necklace | JUICY COUTURE aviator sunglasses all c/o KOHL'S  | JOIE espadrille wedges (*on sale for under $100 - also available here)

After a long day on Elbow Beach we stopped off at The Pickled Onion before heading back on the  ferry (I recommend riding up top for a very scenic trip) from Hamilton to the Royal Caribbean port. We opted to sit outside for a great view of Front street & the water. On the island, the traditional dress for the majority of the men wear Bermuda shorts with long socks and dress shirts - needless to say the people watching during dinner was amazing! As far as the food goes, it was great service and prices that didn't break the bank which was all I could as for.

I love discovering up and coming brands. My latest obsession is Solace London a contemporary women's wear line from duo Laura Taylor & Ryan Holiday-Stevens. I love how expensive their sleek and minimal designs feel, even though most pieces are under $250. I already have my eye on this maxi dress and gorgeous ruffle top

Sometimes the simplest of dresses can make the biggest of impressions. One night last August, I was in the midst of a serious wardrobe crisis. It was one of those I have nothing to wear AND now I'm late!! moments. I decided to just throw on this black tank dress and dress it up with some heals & accessories. Little did I know that I was about to walk into a restaurant where I would meet my boyfriend, then I really would have freaked out over my outfit. But apparently this was the best $54 I've ever spent, because we've been dating ever since.
