TAKING A BREAK WITH TOMS FOR TARGET

I know I tend to get super stressed during this time of year, and sometimes I just need to take an afternoon to myself. And I can't think of a better excuse than curling up with my new TOMS for Target blanket and a good book. As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, TOMS has teamed up on a collaboration with Target to create a line that gives back this Holiday Season. Keeping with their One-for-One model, for every gift purchased a donation will be made to a person in need. For example my blanket purchase will result in one week of meals via Feeding America, a pair of shoes, or even a blanket of their very own. 

So what are you waiting for? Head to your local Target or their online store and pick up some gifts for your loved ones, and help a person in need in the process.

It is so easy to get caught up in the materialism of this time of year, and no one is more guilty than me-a fashion blogger. That is why I am so excited to kick off my Holiday Gift Guide series with my favorite pieces from the new TOMS for Target collection!  Most of you are probably familiar with TOMS mission, but for the holidays they have really upped their efforts stateside. The entire collection will be apart of the TOMS "One-for-One" giving model, which means for every pair of TOMS for Target shoes sold, a pair will go to a child in need. And with every apparel, accessory, and home good purchased, a blanket will be donated through the American or Canadian Red Cross, or one week of meals through Feeding America or Food Banks Canada. The aim of the collaboration is to give more than 11 million meals, blankets, and shoes to those underserved. That means when you purchase this comfy poncho for your Mom, these adorable shoes for your niece, or this candle for your bestie-you're also giving a gift to someone desperately in need. I can't think of a better way to celebrate this holiday season!
