MEET THE PARENTS

Meeting your boyfriends parents can be terrifying. This past weekend I voyaged once again to Miami to meet Christians family for the first time. I was a total nervous wreck. Will they like me? What if I say the wrong thing? What if they speak Spanish the entire time and I'm all 'Hola...amigos...'? WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR?? All of these questions kept swirling around in my head on a loop. Rather than obsess over the things I couldn't control, I decided to tackle the one thing I could...My Outfit. I wanted to look put together but not trying too hard, and lucky for me I had this little striped dress from Kohl's on reserve for just such an occasion. I arrived at brunch nervous, but well dressed. Honestly I had nothing to worry about. His family was just as genuine, kind-hearted and welcoming as he described...and my dress looked great :)
