This New Years Eve was a very special one for me. Some of my closest friends and I traveled down to Galveston to celebrate my best friend//roommate Adrienne's engagement. Her boyfriend Kirkland planned such an amazing proposal and I was so excited to get to be apart of the surprise. After weeks of keeping the secret under wraps, I was beyond thrilled to finally be able celebrate & ring in the new year with the future Mr. & Mrs. Taylor. Congrats again you two, I couldn't be happier for you both!

Although our time in Galveston was brief, the BF and I managed to hit a few food stops worth mentioning. The Mosquito Cafe was absolutely amazing - definitely make sure to check out their savory scones & corned beef hash tacos. Also Patty Cakes Bakery boasts some of the best cake balls I've ever had!

I hope you and yours had a wonderful New Year, and I am so excited for some amazing projects in 2015!

This year I decided to keep my New Years Eve outfit whimsical and fun. I picked up this adorable  dress from Anthropologie the other day and knew it would be just perfect for NYE party plans. It basically went something like this in my mind "Gold Panthere dress for New Years? Duh. Done." I will be ringing in the New Year with some of my closest friends at one of Dallas's chicest venues The Stoneleigh. I hope you all have a very happy and safe NYE! Keepin it real in 2013

It seems like at the beginning of every new year I make all of these lofty plans to be carried out over the coming months. Alas no sooner than Ground Hogs day rolls around, many of these well intentioned goals have been quietly abandoned. But just because this will probably not be the year that I stop watching TV, become fluent french, and give up sugar; that does NOT mean that I should abandon the tradition entirely. There are plenty of more realistic resolutions for me to strive for; and I intend to do just that. First resolution of 2013: Stop making ridiculous resolutions you can't keep; it is just silly.  Now that that is taken care of, here are a few more:
