TO PLAN: In less than 2 weeks I will be on a plan with my family to foggy London town! This will be my first trip to England and I am beyond excited. The shopping, the sites, the shows, and getting to use my new passport case...I can't wait! I would love any recommendations or tips, so please send them my way!

TO WATCH: I recently started catching up on the the X-MEN movies, and can't wait to see the newest installment X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST! My J-Law girl crush will be in FULL effect.

TO BUY: I have been on the hunt for the perfect summer pool // beach bag, and I think that this J.Crew Banango tote is the one! I also will be perusing the latest Shopbop Sale markdowns for some London outfit options.

TO EAT: One of my favorite parts of living downtown has been exploring all of the new restaurants in my neighborhood. This weekend I can't wait to check out a few local donut shops, especially Hypnotic Donuts. Stay tuned for a recap next week!

TO READ: I recently finished up the last book in the Divergent series, so I am definitely in the mood for something lighter. I've heard great things about Eat Pretty by Jolene Hart...hopefully reading it won't make me too guilty about my donut shop food crawl :)

Summer is officially here! As it is by far my favorite season, no one is more thrilled than me. I love the weather, the vacations...the ice cream runs, and most of all the wardrobe! Being a Texas girl I have a pretty extensive collection of warm weather apparel, but every year I try to add a few pieces into the mix for a little Summertime wardrobe refresh. Before I head the mall, I always snag one my fave Bottled Starbucks® Iced Coffee so I can stay cool and refreshed during my shopping mission. After all, shopping is my cardio : )

I think that there are 5 pieces you should always look for when sprucing up your summer attire:

A great summer hat is the perfect way to roll out of bed and head to the beach without having to worry about doing your hair...its just going to get wet anyway!

Adding a new pair of Sunglasses to your rotation can easily spice up any outfit, no matter how many times you've worn it before.

Investing in a great pair of versatile sandals that can go from Day to Night is a must-Summer is all about keeping it easy.

Jean shorts are definitely the unsung heroes of summer. They aren't always the most exciting thing to buy, but trying getting through the season without them!

I practically live in a swimsuit at the pool during the summer. Swimsuits also get most of the wear and tear of summer, so getting a new one every season is less of a splurge and more of a necessity {SideSmile}.

Bottled Starbucks Iced Coffee beverages are the perfect blend of premium Starbucks coffee and 2 percent milk. Available in four delicious offerings: Coffee + Milk, Low Calorie Coffee + Milk, Vanilla, and Caramel, Starbucks Iced Coffee ready-to-drink beverages are the perfect on-the-go refreshment to get you through the daily commute, big projects such as spring cleaning, or an exciting road trip with friends. Look for it at major grocery and convenience stores, available nationwide.

{20s} Me // {30s} Sam of Style of Sam // {40s} Heather of Style by Fluent // {50s} Cathy of The Middle Page

I am so excited to announce a new monthly series that I’m participating in called CHIC AT EVERY AGE.  I will be teaming up with the lovely Sam of Style of Sam {30's}, Heather of Style by Fluent {40's}, & Cathy of The Middle Page {50's} to show how a certain trend can be styled for every age group. This week we chose crop tops (obviously I was thrilled).  I decided to style mine with a simple black maxi skirt & this amazing statement necklace that Jen Hoodenpyle created for me a few weeks back. If you haven't already checked out her etsy shop, do it now, thank me later.

Fossil Event Recap

Friday, May 23, 2014

As you probably already know, a couple of saturdays ago I had the opportunity to host a Mother's Day shopping event at the Northpark Center Fossil store. I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing brand, and to help people find gifts to celebrate their wonderful Moms (watches were definitely the present of choice). I also had the opportunity to style a few pieces from their current collection, including this adorable sky blue Sydney satchel and Jacqueline Three-Hand Date leather watch. I had a blast getting to hang out with the store's wonderful team, and thank you to all who were able to stop by!

Click on the + symbol to take you directly to the product.

With Summer just around the corner, Wedding Season is officially in full swing. And like clockwork (around about wedding number four), your wardrobe options have started to become as tedious as fielding those questions about when you’ll be next (or if you are already married when you will have kids--not sure why but these seem to be the only topics of conversation at weddings). Whether you prefer to spend the night doing the electric slide on the dance floor or posted up at the buffet, these dresses & accessories are sure to break you out of your wedding guest rut.
