FCUK TRAVEL STYLE: TEA TIME

Wednesday, July 9, 2014

Sunflower Cotten Eyelet Dress (ON SALE here // more sizes here), Isla Sandals, & Zoe Leather Structured Satchel (*Only $62 w/ code FCSMILE) all c/o FRENCH CONNECTION | MADEWELL denim jacket | JENNIFER ZEUNER bar necklace | KAREN WALKER sunglasses | VITA FEDE bracelets | c/o KATE SPADE roses umbrella | YSL lipstain

The next look for my FCUK Travel Style Guide combines two quintessential British activities: Braving the rain & Tea Time. I opted to wear this adorable white eyelet dress (which made an appearance more than once on this trip) & these shockingly comfortable heels. While we managed to evade London's typical raining weather for most of our trip, after our tea time, it finally caught up with us. Fortunately for me I tucked this adorable umbrella in my trusty travel crossbody before heading out that day.  We managed to get only moderately strange looks while shooting through the downpour, which at any rate, is more than I can say for most blog posts I shoot! Stay tuned for my final look in the series later this week!

FCUK TRAVEL STYLE: SITE SEEING

Monday, July 7, 2014

This week I am so excited to share a Travel Style Guide from my Trip to London with outfits thanks to French Connection! Starting today through Sunday, all featured styles will be 50% off with the promo code: FCSMILE. First up is my perfect outfit for a day of  Site Seeing. I wanted this look to be both stylish and practical. So I made sure to pick shoes that were not just cute, but could handle an entire day of walking around the city.

My mom swears that she has never seen a pair of jeans fit me better, and these dark wash skinnies have the added bonus of being extremely comfortable. Another key element to this outfit was the purse - I could easily fit all of my travel essentials without being weighed down & the outside pockets were perfect for easy access to my sunnies & oyster card for the tube.

I highly recommend taking advantage of the cities mass transit. It definitely added to my overall experience and made me feel like I was experiencing the real London. My favorite app for navigating was definitely Citymapper, because it gives you access even when you are underground!
