ALL DAY WITH HANES

Tuesday, September 9, 2014

One of the best and worst parts of blogging full time is that no two days are the same. I love how my schedule is constantly evolving because it keeps things fresh and exciting, but that can sometimes make it a little difficult when getting dressed in the morning. One of my favorite tricks I've learned is to be sure to have great basics on hand. Check out my favorites in the new Hanes Lookbook. I don't care what Seth Cohen* says, you definitely can get a whole lot of mileage out of a tank top.

One of the many perks of working from home is that I get to keep it pretty casual in the mornings...not just business casual, like underwear casual. I'll whip up one of my favorite smoothies and answer what ever emails have accumulated over night then start to get ready for the rest of the day.

Most days include running a few errands around town-for instance today I have a few meetings for the blog, and need to make a Whole Foods run to pick up a few things for a little dinner I'm hosting. I usually just throw a cardigan over what ever Hanes tank I wore to bed, add some killer boots et voila I'm out the door. The key is to be comfortable, but still put together.

One of the best parts of my apartment is this adorable little picnic area we have by the pool. It is one of my favorite spots to set up for dinner when I am entertaining. Once again my Hanes tank comes through for the win, taking me from day to night simply by adding a fun printed pencil skirt and my go to nude sandals. Now if you'll excuse me Mary and I have some well deserved wine to enjoy :)

Don't forget to check out all the fun new patterns and styles in Hanes new Lookbook here.

  3. I do find myself reaching for the same basics, even though I work in a business environment. In things that aren't basic, those knee-high boots and that pencil skirt. Work it, girl.
