Top: Missoni (borrowed). White Jeans: 7 for all mankind. Shoes: Tory Burch. Bag: Market in Venice. Sunglasses: Super Duper Karen Walker. Jewelry: Anthroplogie, Alex Monroe, Lily and Laura, Michael Kors Watch. Nail Polish: Essie Turquoise and Caicos.
It's a problem we all know too well. You find an amazing designer treasure at a vintage store or on consignment, but there is something about it that needs tweaking before it can be outfit ready. Such was the problem with this vintage Missoni skirt acquired by my friend Kathryn*. After much debating, we decided that if it wasn't working as a skirt, why not turn it into a top? Et voilà! Fashion problem solved. They say that necessity is the mother of invention. Have y'all ever had to get creative to make an outfit work?
Yeah I know that problem. Sometimes there is a piece I want desperatly to wear but someting is not right (weather, no matching shoes ..) and tehn I have to think about a good solution. But mostly i find a good one :)

I love this outfit on you, Ashley! I own an american apparel top/skirt/dress that can be worn as literally whatever. It's kind of intimidating...so it just stays in my closet.
